Lundi dernier, nous avons célébré la Journée Internationale des droits des femmes avec la communauté de Parc-Extension. Le thème: Noire et fière de l’être! Nous avons bénéficié de la danse, la poésie, le chant et des discours de Mary Déros, conseillère de Parc-Extension et Andrés Fontecilla, député de Laurier-Dorion. Nous avons aussi profité d’une conférence sur l’histoire des femmes noires au Canada donné par invitée spéciale Stella Adjokê. Last Monday, we celebrated International Women’s Day with the community of Parc-Extension. The theme: Black and Proud to Be! We enjoyed singing, dancing, poetry and speeches from Mary Deros, Councillor of Parc-Extension, and Andrés Fontecilla, MNA of Laurier-Dorion. We also benefitted from a presentation about the history of Black women in Canada given by Stella Adjokê.
