Rapprochement Femmes

Rapprochement Femmes aims to assist newcomer women navigate services and resources through community-based education, while fostering connections between participants and breaking isolation. Rapprochement Femmes is led by Afrique au Féminin, and brings together the member organizations of the Table de Concertation des Femmes de Parc-Extension. Participants tour each organization and benefit from their expertise while making friends and getting to know Parc-Extension. There are also cultural workshops that develop bonds between women, like dancing, singing and cooking.

• Centre Génération Emploi (CGE) – employment counselling centre
• Cuisine et Vie Collective – food security organization
• Comité d’Action de Parc-Extension (CAPE) – housing security organization
• Service d’Interprète d’Aide et de Référence aux Immigrants (SIARI) – provides assistance for governmental procedures (ex. citizenship test, visa request), translation services and more.

• Immigration law with students of the University of Montreal
